The Department of Environmental affairs released a document (2015) that serves as a guide for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's) for the following renewable energy projects:

• Concentrating Solar Power Plant
• Wind Farm
• Hydropower Station
• Photovoltaic Power Plant

The document reviews the above mentioned technologies, and discusses climate change and renewable energy and sustainable development. It also outlines renewable energy authorization requirements.
