Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency: Sustainable Agriculture Module workshop
The Mpumalanga Green Economy Cluster invites you to the Green Economy Awareness Learning Series for Decision Makers. The learning series is designed for decisionmakers in the government, business and investment ecosystems. The module on Sustainable Agriculture highlights the benefits of shifting from intensive farming to sustainable agriculture and the importance of the sustainable agriculture sector within the green economy.
The modules include learnings for the following:
- Defining sustainable agriculture and its associated technologies and practices along the agriculture value chain (focusing on primary agriculture);
- Global trends in sustainable agriculture, particularly in response to climate change;
- Emerging trends in South African agriculture and barriers limiting further uptake of sustainable agriculture; and
- Supporting the uptake of sustainable agriculture through providing enabling policies and regulatory environment
This workshop series aims to enhance participants' understanding of the opportunities for, and challenges to the adoption of clean/green solutions in their contexts. It further seeks to accelerate green economic innovation and growth by showcasing the methods of overcoming barriers to green innovation.
