Umlindi
Umlindi is a newsletter compiled by the ARC to collate and disseminate information about seasonal forecasts, rainfull, temperature, wind and vegetation forcasts over South Africa.
In April 2021's newsletter, the seasonal outlook is expected to trend somewhat drier in the interior of South Africa, due to the weakening of the La-Nina signal. This would have been a problem for grain crop production, had the summer rainy season not started on time to allow for timeous cultivation. The abundant summer rainfall and drier conditions towards the end of the season played a supportive role for the ripening of the crops as well as harvest activities.
